    001 // circle of magi         Locked in Kinloch Hold, the Ferelden Circle of Magi, Anders has little access to those outside the Tower. Through his frequent escape attempts, he may make contact with people in nearby settlements while running, very quickly, from the inevitable Templars chasing him.

    002 // awakening         Captured by Templars once more, Anders is brought to the Arling of Amaranthine shortly after the end of the Fifth Blight. The Hero of Ferelden, now the Commander of the Grey, conscripts Anders to save him from Templar capture once more.After surviving his Joining, Anders willingly complies with the Grey Warden’s mission, using his talent as a Circle taught mage and Spirit Healer to help the order. Along the way, he befriends a Spirit of Justice possessing the corpse of Warden Kristoff. The two speak frequently about the plight of mages across Thedas and Justice offers his power to aid Anders in freeing these mages.

    003 // DA2 act one         Anders, now joined with Justice, escapes the Templars and Grey Wardens on a boat with Isabela bound for Kirkwall. After making their way into the city, Anders feels called to aid the destitute people of Darktown. Pouring what little wealth he had into opening a clinic with the Lowtown healer, Lirene’s, assistance, Anders becomes renowned to the poor and downtrodden as a generous and talented mage.Yet things take a turn for the worse when Anders is contacted by Hawke for Grey Warden secrets. Seeing it as an opportunity to break his estranged lover free of the Kirkwall Circle, Anders bargains with Hawke for the information. Unfortunately, the man is found Tranquil and Anders resorts to mercifully killing him, sparing him a life cut from the Fade.

    004 // da2 act two         After the death of his estranged lover, Karl, Anders begins to lose his hold on Justice. As fewer and fewer refugees need the aid of his clinic, Anders spends too much time writing a manifesto that will fall on deaf ears. Pacing and ranting, malnutritioned and afflicted, the signs that the healer was circling the drain were always there, yet so few had eyes to see it.

    005 // da2 act three         With the Mage Underground destroyed by Templar-Commander Meredith, Anders’ last thread of self preservation snaps and he begins to concoct a plan from which he cannot retreat. With Hawke’s help (knowingly or not), Anders plants a bomb in the Chantry with the aim to remove all potential of neutrality from the endless Mage vs. Templar debate.

    006 // inquisition         After escaping with what few Mages survived the Kirkwall fallout, the number dwindled even more as most requested to be sent to other Circles rather than live on their own. Anders accommodated the best he could - leaving them to the Ostwick Circle as his travels took him Eastward.A political pariah, Anders can do little by himself but help the odd mage escape as the Templar-Mage conflict boils over across all of Thedas. Living mostly in solitude, it isn’t until he receives a letter from Varric informing him of Hawke’s disappearance into the Fade that he seeks out the Inquisition for himself.The Inquisitor can attempt to recruit Anders at this point, but it will be dependent on their decisions thus far.

    007 // interlude         If Anders aided the Inquisition, then Justice is far more stable, having been provided the opportunity to serve his purpose.If the Inquisition is disbanded, Anders will first spend some time monitoring the progress of the freed mages in Southern Thedas before moving northward to research the vast collection of magical knowledge held outside the Chantry’s reach. With the help of Rivaini Seers and Mourn Watch Spirit experts, Anders makes substantial progress in communicating with Justice. He uses his talents to help the poor and downtrodden that he comes across in his studies.If the Inquisition becomes a part of the Orelsian forces, Anders will stay on to monitor the progress of the mage liberation in Southern Thedas, sinking a considerable amount of years into the continued peace.

    008 // veilguard         Default for this verse is that the Inquisition was disbanded and Anders spent most of the last 8 years travelling between Rivain and Nevarra, consulting Spirit experts on how to heal his relationship with Justice.He can be recruited for the events of Veilguard along the Rivaini Coast, near the Lords of Fortune. While technically a Lord himself, he bears the title only due to Isabela’s insistence.Anders' reputation surely preceds him. He is known both as the catalyst for the mage-templar war that ravages southern thedas even now, and also the best damned spirit healer anyone could think to find. mages both revere him for his role in the war, and revile him for the same.

    001 // baldur's gate 3         Born in the village of Beregost, Anders was sold to the local Church of Ilmater as a child for protection from noble land hunters. Learned in the healing arts as a Cleric of Ilmater, he eventually meets a Revenant, a former Paladin of Tyr bent on seeking justice for his death and the raiding of his village by Bhaalists. Anders is volunteered to aid the Revenant by the elders of his church.When justice is still long out of their reach, the Revenant's corpse begins to deteriorate beyond use. Anders binds the soul of the man within to himself, able to summon him now as an undead.
